Prof. Chen Hao of JNU's College of Cyber Security, and Prof. Qiu Chengdong of Tsinghua University have published online a research paper titled Nonexistence of negative weight derivations on positively graded Artianian algebras in Transactions on the American Mathematical Society, a well-known comprehensive mathematics journal sponsored by the American Mathematics Society. It enjoys a high academic reputation for its contribution to publishing important achievements of pure mathematics and applied mathematics.
Using new grading determined by negative weight derivation proposed by Chen in 1999, Chen and Qiu have proved that the famous Halperin, Wahl, Aleksandrov and Stephen Yau conjectures (in mathematical field) are all correct under the condition that degree has a lower bound. Two of their papers were published in famous authoritative mathematics journals: Journal of Differential Geometry and Transactions of the American Mathematical Society.
Chen won the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He has published several papers in top journals and at top conferences such as Crypto, Eurocrypt and IEEE Transactions of InformationTheory, including a paper co-authored with the Turing Award winner S. Goldwasser published in Eurocrypt2007.
