The unveiling ceremony for organizations cooperating in the Lecture Hall of Chinese Culture was held in JNU's College of Chinese Language and Culture on Nov. 20.
JNU's students come from 115 countries and regions, covering the entire Belt and Road area. The Lecture Hall, a program held twice a year to promote Chinese culture, has attracted over 22,000 oversea students since it began in April 2016. It has set up 12 Chinese culture seminars with more than 1,500 class hours and over 300 activities and competitions.

JNU Vice President Rao Min said at the ceremony that JNU would further implement the spirit of President Xi Jinping's important speech at JNU when he visited Guangdong and encouraged JNU to strengthen moral education and cultivate talents. The Lecture Hall is expected to create a platform for the transmission and promotion of Chinese culture outside the classroom of colleges and universities in Guangdong and all China, and to create favorable conditions for overseas Chinese students to study and spread Chinese culture.

After the unveiling ceremony, the Guangdong Folk Art Museum and the Guangzhou Uprising Memorial Hall officially become cooperating units of the project. JNU's traditional Chinese culture education and practice base has expanded to seven organizations, including those from Guangdong's Official Unit of Cultural Heritage and Museology, the National First-Grade Museum, key national heritage conservation units and organizations that join the Marine Silk Road Inscription of World Heritage. The project provides rich access for students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan to learn about traditional Chinese culture, the culture of South China and the Belt and Road, as well as patriotism and social practice.
