JNU Party Secretary Lin Rupeng and President Song Xianzhong led a team to Zhuhai on Dec. 3 to meet with Guo Yonghang, secretary of the Zhuhai Municipal Committee, to discuss deepening cooperation and establishing the International Energy School in Zhuhai.

Guo said the municipal party committee and municipal government would fully support the construction of JNU’s new energy discipline and the introduction of high-level talents. He also said he expected the development of the new energy discipline to drive sustainable development in Zhuhai.
Lin said JNU would strengthen discipline construction on its Zhuhai campus and actively establish the International Energy institute to serve Zhuhai's economic and social development.

Song said JNU would set up schools and research institutes related to artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing and other disciplines on the Zhuhai campus to further serve Zhuhai's economic and industrial development.

Attendees included Liu Jizhen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Wu Shi, a standing committee member and secretary general of the Communist Party of China's Zhuhai municipal committee; Lin Rituan, director-general of the Zhuhai Education Bureau; JNU Vice President Liu Jiesheng; and representatives of the Zhuhai campus management committee and the Human Resources Development and Management Office.
