JNU's Biochemical Translational Research Institute held the establishment ceremony of the Joint Laboratory on Immunization and Micro-Ecology on Nov. 5, with Prof. Yin Zhinan, dean of the institute, presiding. Wang Jingsu, chairman of the Jiangxi Shanxing Biotechnology Co., Ltd., was invited to become director of the joint laboratory and a guest professor in the institute.

Yin and Wang initiated the laboratory. Yin noted that it aimed to strengthen industry-university-research cooperation between JNU and enterprises, taking full advantage of both enterprises and universities' scientific research institutes, and transforming results of scientific research into clinical application.

The joint laboratory will carry out a survey on immunization and micro-ecology among healthy people in China and establish standards among different regions and ages. In addition, it will build models of relevant diseases in related clinical hospitals and conduct evaluation and intervention on immunization and micro-ecology among people with tumors, immunological diseases and serious infections or with mild health problems. It will create a series of programs in clinical treatment, health management and intervention based on evaluation of immunization and micro-ecology functions.
