The pharmacological innovation research team headed by Prof. Zhang Haipeng of JNU's School of Medicine has published an article about an oncolytic virus in an international journal of biological science. The paper, titled DNA-PK inhibition synergizes with oncolytic virus M1 by inhibiting antiviral response and potentiating DNA damage, was published on Oct. 18 in Nature Communications (IF=12.353), a subjournal of Nature. Zhang collaborated with a research team headed by Prof. Yan Guangmei of Sun Yat-Sen University; Zhang, Yan and Associate Prof. Lin Yuan of Sun Yat-Sen University are project leaders.

Zhang's team research was supported and funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, the Guangdong Natural Science Foundation and JNU's High-Level Talents Introduction Foundation.
