JNU Prof Zeng Zhenwei is showing 10 works in the 2018 Fondation Taylor's Art Exhibition in Paris from Oct. 10 to 30. As one of the selected artists, Zeng is representing Chinese artists in showing the world modern Asian arts. The painter Francois Legrand, the vice president of Fondation Taylor, hosted the ceremony; eight arts critics and more than 200 artists and scholars. 

Legrand purchased Zeng's sculpture Tiange on behalf of the foundation, its first work by Chinese artist. He highly praised the work's poetic and touching artistic connotation. It is an important purchase for Fondation Taylor, he said, adding that he believed Tiange would become the pride of Chinese contemporary art and seal the friendship between Chinese and French people.

Aude de Kerros, winner of the French National Cultural Knight's Medal and a famous contemporary-art critic, commented that Zeng's work contains two strongly contrasting elements nd use many new materials and forms. Reinvigorating the Chinese understanding of eternal and sports, she said, the work combines modern art and traditional art.

The exhibits are all representative works of Zeng.

Founded in 1844, Fondation Taylor has more than 5,000 members worldwide and gives about 50 awards a year, totaling about 450,000 Euros. Every year, the foundation seeks works from outstanding artists around the world for its exhibitions.
