Prof. Liu Yunyi was officially hired as an honorary JNU professor and honorary professor and chief scientist of the JNU Clinical Medicine Research Department in an appointment ceremony on Aug. 2 at the First Affiliated Hospital. Prof. Liu is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor of Zhuo Min Surgical Research at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and dean of Lee Woo Sing College in Hong Kong.

During the ceremony, Prof. Liu delivered a speech titled The Training of Clinicians: How to Become a Top Clinician and discussed the topic with the audience.
Liu is also honorary advisor and honorary consultant surgeon of the New Territories East Cluster of the Hospital Authority. He is also a member of the editorial committees of 10 international and 23 national medical journals and a consultant to the China National Health Commission Preparatory Committee for the pilot access system of medical specialists. He has published more than 520 papers on SCI, and 79 papers and 147 books in China; he has delivered over 300 speeches at international conferences. He has been appointed an honorary professor at 18 top Chinese universities and a visiting or guest professor at 13 top overseas universities in countries including Sweden, South Africa, Singapore, the Philippines, India, Nepal, Australia, the United States, Denmark and Britain.
