A delegation of 42 outstanding Jinan University (JNU) students led by Vice President Liu Jiesheng traveled to Macao on May 15 at the invitation of Ma Youheng, president of the Alumni Association of Macao. The four-day visit from May 15 to 18 will enable the students to learn more about Macao culture and to strengthen exchanges between JNU students and alumni and young students in Macao.

The visit acquainted the delegation with Macao's history, culture, customs, people and educational development through visits to scientific and cultural institutions, schools and hospitals, as well as thorough communication with JNU alumni in Macao.
The delegation first arrived at the Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School. Founded in 1932, the school cultivates talents for society. Later, the delegation visited the beautiful University of Macau and learned about its rapid development.

At a banquet in the evening, the delegation received a warm welcome, and Liu, on behalf of the delegation, gave Ma original calligraphy works and Chinese paintings by the students.

The next morning, the delegation went to Macao Polytechnic University and Kao Yip Middle School. At the university, it investigated teaching facilities for art, musicology and biomedical science. In the middle school, the delegation was received by Yin Junle, the 97-year-old school superintendent, who introduced the school's long history.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited Macao Pooi To Middle School to survey its educational development and Kiang Wu Hospital to learn about medical and health care development.
