Tang Wanchan resolved to come to China and study at JNU when she was a primary school student. Now inher fifth year at JNU, she is a first-year graduate student in the College of Foreign Studies, specializing in linguistics.
Tang's family has been living in Mongolia since her grandfather moved there from Heibei Province. However, under her parents' influence, she is very familiar with Chinese culture and desired to come to China. After her college entrance examination, she could have attended the best university in Mongolia, but she resolutely chose to study at JNU, fulfilling her childhood dream.
What has most impressed Tang was a meeting of Chinese and Mongolian teenagers to exchange tea culture, where she served as an interpreter and hostess. Asked about her future plans, she said she would stay in China and work in an industry related to foreign trade. She hopes to devote herself to promoting economic and cultural exchange and development between China and Mongolia.

Marina, an international student from Russia, is currently pursuing her master's degree in the School of Journalism and Communication. This is her third year in Guangzhou.
I used to edit the campus newspaper when I was in high school, which aroused my interest in newspapers and media and great passion for news work, she said. Then I majored in Chinese and English in my undergraduate studies. And I am quite familiar with China and Chinese culture because I made two short visits to China after winning a scholarship sponsored by the Chinese government.
After graduation, Marina wanted to further her study in China. I applied to JNU because I found that its School of Journalism and Communication is the most prestigious institution in South China.
"When I first arrived at JNU, the school organized many exchange activities, of which the tour around the Pearl River impressed me most. JNU has a rich learning atmosphere and well-resourced studying facilities. Its well-stocked library and various lectures are available to all the students. Every time my friends come by, I definitely show them around the JNU library.

The continuous development of the homeland makes us overseas Chinese more than happy and provides Laos with a new prospect and more development opportunities.
