Li Jierui, a student in JNU's International School, became the dark-horse champion in the Guangdong finals of the ACIC International Professional Model Contest as an amateur model on Dec 10.

As early as summer vacation after high school, Li began modeling as an amateur.

When it comes to my success, she said, I would like to appreciate that at that time I always believed in myself and that I did not give up because of temporary failures. She has strived toward her achievements all by herself.

Li attaches more importance to the people who have always supported her than to the prize. Facing flashy entertainment circles, she doesn't attend to trifles and neglect the essentials, but continues to be cautious and self-sustaining.

Everyone has a natural power in a certain field, she said, and the most important thing for them is to try and pursue bravely.
