JNU faculty members and students began the first class of a new semester on March 5. To gain a comprehensive understanding of JNU's progress in undergraduate teaching, university leaders including JNU’s Communist Party Chief Lin Rupeng and JNU President Song Xianzhong led inspection teams to foster quality teaching. Lin, JNU’s Vice President Rao Min, JNU’s Deputy Communist Party Secretary Xia Quan and others visited JNU’s Shipai Campus; Song and Zhang Ronghua visited the Panyu Campus; and Vice President Liu Jiesheng visited the Zhuhai Campus.

The inspection found that teachers reported for duty on schedule and students returned to school on time; the classroom atmosphere was lively on each campus; students interacted positively with teachers; class attendance was good, and teaching ran in order.

This semester JNU will receive the Ministry of Education's undergraduate teaching audit. It will continuously strengthen campus spirit, teaching and study style; further consolidate the crucial position of undergraduate teaching; and steadily improve the quality of undergraduate teaching.
