Dr. Malcolm Butler, vice president of St. Mary's University (SMU) in Canada, and Bill Bu, SMU's senior advisor on China affairs, visited JNU on Nov. 22, meeting with Vice President Song Xianzhong. They reviewed achievements in undergraduate student exchanges and discussed the joint cultivation program for graduate students.
Song said JNU had maintained a good relationship with SMU since 2008, when the two universities signed a cooperation agreement. In the last three years, JNU sent 22 undergraduates to study at SMU, some of whom received financial support from the China Scholarship Council.
