The center is intended to build a data platform for Guangdong ethnic groups and religions; comprehensively master relevant provincial and social situations; and serve the government and society, relying on the discipline advantages of JNU's College of Liberal Arts and the institute's superior resources.
In a symposium after the ceremony, the two parties discussed the center's work. Luo Yile, vice dean of the institute, Cheng and several professors made statements and reached a consensus on the work. Huang put forward the work focus. Xia asked the center to strictly implement the work, integrate both parties’ resources and play the role of think tank for government decision-making.
