To celebrate May Day, the JNU Trade Union held a campus run on the afternoon of April 27. More than 3,000 teachers took part, and Rao Min, JNU vice president and Trade Union chairman, delivered an opening speech.
Representing the current leadership, Rao extended greetings to all JNU teachers. "The activity of running on campus is one of JNU's featured cultural activities that embody the staff's high cohesion and reflects each school’s spirit," she said. "This year is a crucial time for JNU's construction as a high-level university. We wish all the teachers to pay attention to personal health and exercise, and to contribute your wisdom and strength to the construction as a high-level university and "Double Top" university.”
Organized by the schools' secondary trade unions, 29 running teams wearing the same blue T-shirts began running along specified routes on campus at the sound of the starting pistol.
