The Institute of Nanophotonics team led by Prof. Li Baojun has made important progress in the scientific research of nanometer controlling photonics. The research achievement, which could be applied in biosensing techniques, medical diagnosis and single-cell analysis, was published on April 11 in Small, an internationally famous academic journal. The paper was selected as the Inside Front Cover paper. Prof. Li's team used an optical manipulation method that enabled fluorescence labeling and real-time detection of a single bacterium.

The institute also published a research paper on optical manipulation in the December 2016 issue in Light: Science & Applications, part of Nature Publishing Group. With the latest research achievement, its faculty has published three cover papers in international academic journals since the institute was established in June 2016; the other two were published in Nanoscale and the Journal of Biophotonics.

To date, nine papers by Prof. Li's team have been selected for the cover or inside front cover of famous international academic journals.
