A five-member delegation from Donghua University in Taiwan, headed by President Zhao Hanjie, visited JNU on March 30. Lin Rupeng, secretary of the JNU Party Committee, and Vice President Song Xianzhong met the delegation, along with the directors of the College of Information Science and Technology and the Office of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao Affairs. They discussed the construction and development of information subjects, student exchange and scientific research cooperation.
Lin pointed out that Jinan University has signed cooperation agreements with 34 schools and educational institutes in Taiwan, with successful student exchanges, academic exchanges, and lectures by experts. He said he looked forward to working out more communication and cooperation with higher education institutions in Taiwan. Comparing cross-strait efforts with communication projects at schools in Hong Kong, the United States and Europe, he said there was room for further cooperation.
Zhao Hanjie said Donghua University, with the largest single campus and scale of dormitories among colleges and universities in Taiwan, has ranked as the most beautiful university many times and has ranked high comprehensively. He said he sincerely hoped to fully exert the specialties and advantages of his university and JNU to conduct exchanges and cooperation as much as possible.
After the meeting, four lectures were presented by visiting experts from Donghua University: Zhao Hanjie on A Bacteria-Inspired Solution for 5G Mobile Communication, Lai Xiaorong on Mobile Communication System and Its Application in Enterprises, Zhang Yaozhong on Intelligent Vehicle Technology of Internet of Things and its Application and Zhu Jiawen on with See Life From the Perspective of Literature: Inspirations From Chinese Classic Novels.
