The International School held a Freshmen Welcome Party for class of 2016 M.B.B.S. (bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery) students in the Management School on March 18. The freshmen, wearing white doctor's coats, took the Hippocratic Oath under the guidance of seniors.

International School Dean Wang Liwei, Party Secretary Deng Yongzhong, Vice Dean Wu Xiyang, Vice Party Secretary Liu Ming and Priya Hemprakash from Saraswati Online.Com India Ltd. took part in the welcome party, along with International School staff members.

Wang expressed his warm welcome to the freshmen. The International School has admitted 340 M.B.B.S. major students since 2011, he said. I am proud of their growth and expansion.  Hemprakash said she wished all the students would take responsibility and enjoy their new life journey at JNU.

Justin Kadamala Samuel of the class of 2013 and Gopika Jayaprasad of the class of 2015 expressed their gratitude to JNU for supporting their research and providing an environment of academic freedom that encourages freshmen to make friends around the world. Representing the freshman, Arjun Dey and Suparna Mondal stated the class's vision and expressed thanks.

Students extended their best wishes to the freshmen by performing onstage. Their shows drew rapturous applause from the whole audience.
