The next day, a group from Jinan University started its cultural tour, titled One Belt and One Road, All Chinese Together in Northeast China to better understand Chinese culture.
This group included 34 overseas Chinese students from more than 10 different countries or regions who all study at Jinan University. In Harbin, they visited St. Sophia Church, the Flood-Prevention Cenotaph, Stalin Park, the more than 100-year-old Central Avenue, and Ice and Snow World. Then they left for Changbai Mountain in Jilin Province, the Imperial Palaces of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in Shenyang, the Sept. 18 Incident memorial hall and China CNR Corp. Ltd. During this tour, they experienced local customs and enjoyed natural scenery.

The Chinese Cultural Tour, a brand project of Jinan University, was established by the State Council's Overseas Chinese Affairs Office. The project originated in 1986 and launched in May 2005. It has organized 2,000 teams of roughtly three students each -- a total of 6,010 students -- who have completed their journeys of cultural exploration to date. Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and Overseas Chinese students can enjoy natural scenery of mainland China and experience local conditions and customs to deepen their understanding of Chinese history and cultures.
