Li Baojun and Zhang Yao, professors in JNU's Research Institute of Nanophotonics, have made a breakthrough in their field, publishing their research findings on Dec. 2 in Light: Science & Applications (SCI Impact Factor 13.6).
Nanophotonics is the study of photonic phenomena and devices with dimensions in the nanometer range. Li and Zhang have achieved three-dimensional manipulation of photics at the nanometer and unimolecule levels.
Light, an authoritative periodical in photics, is jointly published by theChangchun Research Institute of Precise Optical Mechanics and Physics, affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Nature Publishing Group. It is among the top 100 of the 8,618 periodicals included by SCI and the top three in SCI Impact Factor. Its homepage reported these research findings on the subject of "Optical manipulation: moving single nanoparticles and biomolecules" in the "Latest Research Progress" column. In addition, Light World, an international journal, interviewed Li.
The periodical National Science Review also introduced their paper in its "Research Highlights". National Science Review, which released its first issue in March 2014, is the first English-language academic periodical in China presenting valuable research findings in science, following up on significant scientific events and deeply interpreting hot research topics. It has attracted extensive attention and been widely recognized in scientific circles. Journal Citation Reports in 2016, released by Thomson Reuters, ranks National Science Review (SCI Impact Factor 8.0) fifth among 63 comprehensive multidisciplinary periodicals.
