On Nov. 23, the 13th Cantonese Opera Day, the opening ceremony of Canton Culture Experience Base for Overseas Students of the College of Chinese Language in Guangdong Theater followed a performance titled "Cantonese Opera on Campus." Both teachers and students enjoyed a spectacular full-scale Cantonese Opera performance, which started a journey exploring the opera's charm. Chen Ben, deputy director of Guangdong Opera; Shi Xuehao, deputy party secretary; Ma Jie of the College of Chinese Languages; other guests, and over 600 Chinese college students attended.
