From June 15th to 24th, Mr. Xia Quan et al visited Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia at the invitations of three academic organization, which are S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies of Singapore's Nanyang Technological University, the China Research Center of Malaysia University and Institute of international relationship of Gadjah Mada University. Our delegation member included persons in charge from Social Science Research Institute, the Institute of industrial economics, College of International Relationship, and the Institute of Journalism and communication.

As one of the most famous think tank of Asia, the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies of Singapore's Nanyang Technological University was the first destination of the our visit. Ambassador Ong Keng Yong, head of the Rajaratnam International Institute of foreign affairs and the Ministry of foreign affairs Ambassador, introduced the operation of their think tank from three perspectives: the influence of the think tank on the domestic government policy implementation, how topics rooted social needs and the grow up of think-tank’s members,and focused on introducing the evaluation system of the results of the think tank.

China Research Center of Malaysia University and Institute of international relationship of Gadjah Mada University are the national think tanks of their respective countries. Our delegation had talks with and the heads and the core members of the two think tanks on several issue, including personnel appointment system, fund raising system, evaluation system, achievement promotion mechanism and so on. The talks were instructive and useful for us in the construction of think tanks of our university.

During this visit, Jinan University established a preliminary contact with the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, China Research Center of Malaysia University and Institute of international relationship of Gadjah Mada University. Mr. Quan Xia availed this occasions to invite the heads of think tanks to participate in "The Belt and Road national think tank Forum” to be held in our university. 

From June 16th to 21th, The delegation visited Jinan University alumni associations in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia Jinan University Alumni Association. They also visited the Malaysian Chinese community research center, the Federation of Chinese Association Malaysia, The United Chinese School Teachers’ Association Of Malaysia（UCSTAM）and Fuqing Clansmen Association in Indonesia and Mr. Gu Runjin, member of the Board of Trustees of our university.
