The evaluation result of National Social Science Fund was released recently, a total of 31 projects of Jinan University are given funding from the National Social Science Fund, and this is a historic high record for our university. Among them, there are 6 key projects, 19 general projects and 6 youth projects.

With the number of the funded projects Jinan University is ranked ninth among the colleges and universities, and NO.6 and NO.1 respectively nationally and provincially with number of key projects given funding, which is 6.

12 units of our university obtained the Fund. College of Liberal Arts tops the list with 11 projects obtaining fund; Overseas Chinese Institute/College of International Relationship, College of Economics and College of Journalism and Communication have 3 funded projects respectively. College of Chinese Language & Culture, School of humanities and College of Foreign Language had 2 projects respectly. Law school, Management School, Shenzhen Tourism College and the Organization Department had 1 project.

In terms of the disciplines distribution, the 31 funded projects cover 14 disciplines. There are 6 Chinese literature projects, 4 linguistic projects, 3 projects on Journalism and Communication, Applied Economic and Chinese History respectively; 2 for law, statistics, and politics each, one for international studies, ethnic studies, sociology, world history, sports, science and religion each. In terms of the ranking of the disciplines, five of our projects are ranked among the top five among all the funded disciplines this time, with two disciplines, Chinese Literature and Journalism and Communication ranked NO.1, Statistics and Political Science ranked NO.2, Chinese History ranked fourth.
