Recently, Qiu Meijia, a second-year student of our school majoring in Applied Physics, from College of Science & Technology published a thesis in Journal of materials chemistry A, a well-known journal in the field of material science, a journal cited by Chinese Academy of Sciences JCR 1 zone, with impact factor being 7.443. The title of thesis is WO3 Nanoflowers with Excellent Pseudo-capacitive Performance and the Capacitance Contribution Analysis (Tutor: Mai Wenjie).
The paper successfully studies the energy storage mechanism of nanoflowers like tungsten trioxide integrated on titanium sheet, which, as a super capacitor electrode, features outstanding performance, and proposes a new idea on the evaluation of ultracapacitors.
Qiu Meijia entered Siyuan laboratory, bulit with the 500 milion RMB donted by Mr. Lin Weiyi, our alumus as a freshman. She was also included into the Ascending Project, an key program funded by Guangdong College Students Science & Innovation Cultivation Fund, with Mr Mai Wenjie as her tutor. She was engaged in the research on storage material from then on, and the study of cutting-edge topics.
