Life Science and Technology Experimental Teaching Center was formerly our biology experiment teaching center, established in 2000. It was elected as Guangdong Provincial Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education in 2006. In 2011, the Experimental Centre expanded into "Life Science and Technology Experimental Teaching Center", composed by foundation laboratories, specialized laboratories, integrated laboratory and innovation laboratories.
Experimental Teaching Center has integrated internal and external high quality teaching resources, and has created a new collaborative training method with scientific research institutes, industries and enterprises, which has made remarkable achievements in education teaching and research, curriculum development, personnel training. On the long list of award the center has achieved, there are three provincial teaching Achievement first prize, one second prize once; it also got several funds: one University Quality Education National Classic Course, six provincial resource sharing Classic Courses. It also contributed much to teaching and research: it published 12 experimental teaching materials; undertaking 18 Ministry of Education in Guangdong Province Education Research Project, and published more than 60 relevant teaching and research papers, and getting 25 information achievements of the national Ministry of Education and the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education received award; guiding undergraduate students gaining nearly Two hundred innovative projects. It was awarded many times in the "Challenge Cup" College Students' Science and Technology and other competition success, 9 national awards, 29 provincial and ministerial level awards.
National experimental teaching demonstration center is an important part of  “undergraduate teaching quality and teaching reform project (the highest of all national-level teaching platforms) during the Twelfth five-year period.
