On December 10th, vice president Song Xianzhong met with Mexico consul general Jose Limas. Representatives from College of Communication and International affairs Office of our university attended the meeting.

Mr. Jose Lima shared his experience of learning Chinese and expressed his thanks to our University for our long-term cooperation with Mexico's baja California international university. He said that after visiting the museums, he was deeply impressed by the long history and multicultural environment of our university. The year 2016, the 110th Anniversary celebration of the founding Jinan University, happens to be the 10th  anniversary of the founding the Mexico Consulate General in Guangzhou, he hoped that the two parties would have more in-depth exchanges and cooperation in education, culture and tourism management field in next year.

Mr. Song Xianzhong introduced to the guest the development of our five campuses, school catchment area, our cooperation and exchange with Latin America universities. He also said that as the paramount school for overseas Chinese students and an internationalized university, the university had been gearing to the educational need of overseas Chinese students and students in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, committing to turn out  international talents. Also, according to Mr. Song, in this year, our school has been selected for the high-level universities project by Guangdong Province, and the university will continue to build the world first-class disciplines and strive to create a world-class university. At the same time, Song Xianzhong introduced the international collaborative research programs launched by our university to Mr. Jose Limas, and expressed his hope to have more exchanges and cooperation with Mexico college students in exchange, teacher visits, scientific research projects and so on.

During the meeting, Jose Limas introduced the Consulate General of the new year's work plan to our school, and hoped in the coming year the consulate and our university could hold a theme photography exhibition together.
