On December 8th, a delegation of seven persons headed by Mr. ,the Malaysia governor Dance Lee Nagh, Han Chiang College executive advisor Chen Guoping Bureau Shen, chairman Datuk Seri Mr. Huang Cixing,visited our school to discuss cooperation matters of Chinese education in Malaysia. President Hu Jun, vice president Song Xianzhong met with the delegation. Chinese Academy of Arts, literature, international exchanges and cooperation in the relevant person attend the meeting.

MR. Hu Jun said “Spreading the Chinese Language and Culture to overseas Chinese communities” is our educational mission,and Han Chiang College is an old friend of our university, we will be concerned with and supportive to overseas Chinese. Song Xianzhong gave a brief introduction to the development of our University in recent years, and he said that he believed this meeting will help to promote cooperation between our school and overseas Chinese schools.

Chen Guoping said that the two sides in the field of Chinese language education has a long history of cooperation, and hope to be able to further deepen the two schools of cooperation in running schools, in such aspects as Chinese teacher training, Chinese language education enrollment strengthening exchanges and conducting all aspects of cooperation.

The two sides carried out discussion on the cooperation on joint dual degree programs, and our setting up overseas teaching programs in Hang Qiang college, and reached a preliminary agreement.

The delegation also has carried out exchange with the Chinese Department of Liberal Arts, Department of History, and College of Chinese Language & culture intensively.

Han Chiang College was founded in 1999 in Penang, Malaysia, and signed a cooperation agreement with our University in 2001.

Han Chiang College has a complete education system from primary school, middle school and University,and it is the pioneering work in the history of Chinese education in Malaysia.
