The new library in new campus is of 6 stories above ground and 1 storey underground, total building floor measures at 26,000m2, which can accommodate 960,000 books, 220 PC, 32 retrieval machines, 6 self-service OFFICE ALL-IN-ONE INKJET PRINTERS, 1 24-hour self check/return machine, so as to enable students in new campus and main campus can access the same resources.

From September 2014, the new campus will welcome the new comers --- the new students of Jinan University recruited in 2014. When standing in front of the main entrance of the south campus, called the “Rainbow Arch”, one will see an eye-catching cubical mega-building, which is the new library of south campus, designed by the architectural team led by Mr. He Jingtang from South China University of Science and Technology. The library was completed in April this year, the earliest completed main buildings in south campus, which will be a high-tech knowledge cuboid, a multi-functional space for study, collaborations, refreshment for students, according to Mr. Li Bin, deputy director of administrative office of library of our university.
