Recently, a research team led by Professor Dong Guanzhi of Shenzhen Tourism College of JNU sign a contract of employment, which is “Urumqi Nanshan Tourism Industries Overall Planning” and gets funding amounting to over 4million RMB, the largest amount of funding that JNU ever gets in the field of social science research.

The municipal government of Urumqi organized open bidding for Urumqi Nanshan Tourism Industries Overall Planning program at the end of 2013. Professor Dong Guanzhi and his team attended the bidding. Undergoing several rounds fierce competition of Professor Dong and his team won out scores of famous tourism planning organizations. The success of Professor Dong’s team is recognition of the competitiveness of our faculties and the tourism management research.
