On March 22, 2014, the second regional alumni association of the International School, Jinan University was organized at Dongguan, Guangdong after a half-year’s preparation. 20 alumni who are currently working in Dongguan came together for the reunion meeting. Among the dignitaries and hosts were Mr. An Heng, the deputy director of Jinan University Alumni Association, Professor Tang Shuze, Dean of IS, Professor Deng Yongzhong, Party Secretary of IS, Mr. Liu Ming, Vice Party secretary of IS and faculty representatives from IS. 

 Presided by Prof. DENG, the ceremony kicked off with the school anthem. A video on the alumni students of their time in IS brought back their memories, both for the students and for the staff. Mr. An Heng addressed the meeting.He spoke highly of the efforts made by IS in carrying out the alumni work. Professor Tang Shuze recollected the development history of IS and shared the achievements of English-medium lecturing.

According to the scheduled agenda, an association chairman and a secretary general would be elected at the meeting. Ms. He Ruizhen, a graduate from 2003 IET was elected the chairman while Ms. Yuan Wanting, an ADM graduate, was appointed as the secretary general. The two ladies made their speech respectively, in which they expressed their profound affection toward IS and promised to do their utmost to organize the association and bring it into a grand success always.
