This presentation will contrast the types and lasting effects of foreign aid China and the US offers to countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. After decades of American aid to selected countries, little real progress has been made. China has been providing radically different types of foreign aid to African countries for a much shorter period of time; therefore, associated lasting effects are mostly unknown at this time. The presentation will provide lists of issues and relevant data concerning this topic.
