IS degelation visited Lincolin University in Chirstchurch, New Zealand on October 4th.
The delegation received cordial hospitality from Mr. Jerey Baker, Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Bruce McKenzie, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Dr. Jim Morton, Head of Department of Wine, Food and Molecular Bioscinences, and Dr. Malik Hussain, Associate Director of Centre of Food Research & Innovation (CFRI). Two Memoranda of Understanding were signed: one with the university itself with the goal of developing student and staff exchanges, research partnerships and postgraduate programmes, while the other is with CFRI to explore joint research opportunities in Food Science.
The two new MOU’s between Jinan University and Lincoln University will prove invaluable as a means for sharing information and expertise in the critical areas of food production, science and safety.
During the visit, Prof. Tang Shuze gave a seminar entitled New Challenges and Strategies for Meat Safety in China.
The delegation was also given a tour around the campus, espcially CFRI labs.
