2013 JNU Opening Ceremony is held

* More than five thousand new students from all over the world met in JNU.A short video “JNU, I’m Coming”, which conveyed the ardent wishes from President Hu Jun and senior students.

* What makes them different is not their IQ but the way they use their time in the coming four years, says President Hu Jun.

* Four “Learn to” is what the students should bear in mind: Learn to be, Learn to learn, learn to do, learn to together.

On September 8th, more than 5,000 new students from all over the world met in Jinan University to participate in the Opening Ceremony 2013. Principals present on the ceremony included presidents of our university, deans of colleges and heads of the all the operative departments.

Before the opening, a 15-minute video was played to convey the good wishes of the president. In this video, that JNU’s history as a Paramount School was introduced to the new students. Also, it displayed the atmosphere of involvement of the multi-cultural environment of JNU. Then the new students of the College of Arts sang two songs “One Hundred years down the Road” and the Alma Mater of Jinan University, giving account of the one hundred years’ vicissitudes of our university and how the university survives ups and downs and flourishes.
