2013 CIMA Business Elites International Champion Final Competition held in our university

The 2013 CIMA Business Elites International Championship Final Competition was held in our university on June, 6^th. This was a championship undertaken jointly by the College of Management of our university and CIMA, the world’s biggest professional non-profit body of management accountants.

Principals present on the final competition included: vice president of our university, Mr. Song Xianzhong, Mr. Mogen, consul general The British Consulate-General in Guangzhou, Mr. Ander Harding, world CEO of CIMA, Mr. Xia Ding, director of Marketing of China District of CIMA.

Mr. Song delivered a speech before the competition and introduced the current situation and teaching philosophy of our university. He said that the holding of 2013 CIMA Business Elites International Champion Final Competition in our university was an act of trust and affirmation to our university.

Five teams attended the final competition. They were team sent by Jinan University (champion of the South China District), TsingHua University (North China District Champion), Zhengjiang University (Eastern China Champion), Huazhong University of Science and Technology(Northwestern China Champion) and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (Southwestern China Champion).

The competition consisted of three sectors: Presentation, Report and Q&A. After tense rivals, team from Zhejiang University won the first prize, our university the second prize with Southwestern University of Finance and Economics the third prize.
