Cooperation Agreement Signed between Jinan University and Royal Roads University

On 17th, June,2011,with the witness of Mr. LUO Weiqi, Director of the Guangdong Provincial Education Department, Mr. WEI Zhonglin,Deputy Director of the Department, Ms. Naomi Yamamoto, Minister for Advance Education of British Columbia, Canada, Mr. Francois Rivest Consul General of Canada in Guangzhou, Prof.Lin Rupeng,Vice President of Jinan University and Mr. Randall Martin,Director of British Columbia International Education Council, exchanged the newly signed cooperation agreement between RRU and JNU. This is the first cooperation agreement after the MOU signed by Guangdong Education Department and BC Education Ministry. RRU and JNU will collaborate in the discipline of Emergency Management, exchange students and teachers, and cooperate on scientific research.

Royal Roads University is a public university of Canada, located in city of Victoria in British Columbia. The campus covers an area of about 500 hectares. The University was established in 1906, founded by the governor of BC. It was officially admitted into Canadian Federal Government in 1940, and expanded to be a university. In 1975, it was promoted to Royal Roads University. Its preponderant discipline includes Emergency Management (Disaster Management) and Peace and Conflict Management etc.
