Introduction to Speaker:
Prof. Liu, doctoral supervisor, has participated in several scientific research projects funded by National Program on Key Basic Research Project of China (973 Program), National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Doctoral Fund of Ministry of Education of China, Foundation for the Author of National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of PR China(FANEDD), and Scientific Research Starting Foundation for Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, Ministry of Education, China. As a key participant, he also took part in the projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, Science Fund for Creative Research Groups of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and National Natural Scientific Foundation of China. Liu published more than 70 academic papers in the research areas of Periodic Solutions of Nonlinear Hamiltonian Systems, Closed Geodesics on Riemann (Finsler) Manifolds, Symplectic Manifolds and Symplectic Topology, Boundary Value Problems of Nonlinear Differential Equations (Ordinary Differential Equations and Partial Differential Equations), and Singular Integral Equation. He also published teaching papers in Domestic Core Teaching Periodicals and led a group of teachers to write a textbook Mathematical Analysis published by Higher Education Press (HEP). Besides, one of his academic monographs was jointly published by Science Press and Springer-Verlag. Prof. Liu has won lots of scientific achievements and awards, including Zhong Jiaqing Mathematics Award, National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award, the first prize in Natural Science Award of Ministry of Education and the second prize in China's State Natural Science Award.
