Low Mach number limit to the compressible MHD equations

ABOUT CAO JUN:

Ph.D supervisor Li Fucai’s research is mainly on Nonlinear partial differential equations. Li has published over 60 papers on various well-known academic journals, such as Adv. Math., CMP, SIAM JMA, Non-linearity and JDE. Moreover, Li has led and took part several times in projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In 2011, he was selected a member of New Century Talent Supporting Plan of Ministry of Education, and in 2016 he won the second prize of Science Research Famous Achievement Award in Higher Institution in Natural Science.

ABSTRACT:

In this talk we shall report our recent results on the low Mach number limit to the compressible MHD equations. The ideas on the proofs will be explained in detail.
