ABOUT FENG DA-XUAN
Born in New Delhi, India, Feng Da-xuan is of Chinese origin. He now serves as Director of Global Affairs and Special Advisor to the President of University of Macau. Obtaining his PhD in Theoretical Nuclear Physics in University of Minnesota, he is Fellow of American Physical Society and expert in nucleon and nuclear astrophysics, quantum optics, and mathematical physics. And he has made outstanding achievements and possessed rich experience in academic study and leading the overall development of university.

Working at several universities and enterprises in America and Taiwan area for more than 30 years, Feng once served as director of Department of theoretical physics in American National Science Foundation, M. Russell Wehr Professor of Physics in Drexel University, Vice President of research and Professor of Physics department in University of Texas at Dallas, Vice President of SAIC ,the top five hundred companies in the United States,  and Vice President of National Tsinghua University and National Cheng Kung University.

He has visited China for several times. He now serves as Honorary Professor and Chair Professor in Fudan University, Nanjing University, Jilin University and other universities, Honorary Fellow of Institute of Nuclear Research in Shanghai, and Honorary Professor of Peking Union Medical College. He has given speeches on challenges and opportunities of education in many enterprises and universities worldwide.

Abstract
China put forward a series of major global projects, such as Asian investment bank AIIB, Eurasian transport, regional comprehensive economic partnership RCEP and The Belt and Road Initiative that attracts world attention. This lecture will make a comprehensive analysis on the challenge of cultural connection of these projects, so as to understand the challenges and opportunities of development faced by China in the 21st century.
