ABOUT CAO SHUN-QING

President of China Comparative Literature Association, distinguished professor of liberal arts in Sichuan University, dean of College of Literature and Journalism, distinguished professor in Cheung Kong Scholars awarded by the Ministry of Education, nationally outstanding teacher, doctoral supervisor authorized by nation (1993), professor of Beijing Normal University, discipline appraisal group member of the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and Henry Fok teacher fund prize winner. In the Ministry of Education, he is the vice chairman of Chinese discipline in Teaching Steering Committee, member of Undergraduate Course Teaching Evaluation Expert Committee and the cross-century talent, Chinese doctoral degree winner who had made great contributions, expert enjoys the government special allowances, hundred outstanding doctoral thesis instructor in the Ministry of Education, national boutique resource course leader, the vice president of Chinese Ancient Literature Theory Association, the vice president of Chinese and Foreign Literary Theory Association in China, visiting scholar of Harvard University and Cornell University in America, visiting professor of Nanhua University, Buddha University and Tamkang University in Taiwan. He had published many books, such as Comparison of Chinese and western poetics, History of Chinese and Foreign Literature, The Collection of Oriental Literature, The Ancient Chinese Literature Discourse, Comparative Literature Course, History of Comparative Literature, Chinese Culture, The History of World Literature’s Development and Comparison, The Comparative Literature Discipline Theory Research, The Variation Theory of Comparative Literature Springer 2014, etc. and had published many thesis on the academic journals at home and abroad. He preside over the key teaching material of Marxist project in the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee and the Ministry of Education, the key projects of the Ministry of Education, several key projects of national social science, and won the award of humanities and social science of the Ministry of Education as well as the first or second prize at the provincial level several times.
