JNU won one gold, four silver and two bronze medals in the finals of the seventh China International College Students Internet+ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, held at Nanchang University in Jiangxi Province from Oct. 12 to 15. The competition is jointly organized by People's Governance of Jiangxi Province and 12 central ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Education. It was JNU's first gold medal and best result in its participation to date.
JNU also took an active part in recommending international projects, with 10 entering the finals and 3 shortlisted for the onsite finals, ultimately achieving 3 silver and 7 bronze.
Launched in April, the competition attracted the participation of more than 9.56 million students from 4,347 colleges and universities in 121 countries and territories, involving 2.28 million projects. JNU had 4,047 participants and sent 1,021 projects, a year-to-year increase of 63%, winning five gold, six silver and two bronze medals in the Guangdong Provincial Competition in August.

The competition, initiated by Li Keqiang, the premier of the State Council, in 2015, is a major innovation and entrepreneurship event jointly organized by provincial governments and 12 central ministries and commissions, including the Ministry of Education and the United Front Work Department of Communist Party of China's Central Committee.
