The new book Singularity Art: The Evolution of Future Art Under the Impact of Singularity of Science and Technology, by Liqin Tan, chair professor in JNU's College of Art, was published by China Machine Industry Press in March. The book contains many future art cases and illustrations by JNU art students.

“Singularity Art” is China's first monograph on future art. Based on research in cutting-edge science, singularity and art, the author gives a bold, reliable basis for the evolution and prediction of the transformation of art under the influence of singularity of science and technology, exemplifying many subversive artistic paradigms. It will be a very illuminating book to many fields, such as plastic arts, architecture, music, drama, costume, animation, games, video and design, as well as science fiction.
Singularity art is a new form based on the development of artificial intelligence, quantum physics, biomedicine, etc. As an advocate and experimenter of the singularity art, Tan has worked on the creation of cutting-edge art and theoretical research of art for more than 40 years. He enjoys a high reputation in the digital art and animation industries in China and the United States. Having served in the International Association for Computing Machinery's Special-Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques, he is now a tenured professor and co-director of the fine arts department at Rutgers University in New Jersey. In addition, he is an activist in the 85 Art Movement, characterized by modernism in mainland China in the mid-1980s. U.S. media have described him as a revolutionary artist,
