The oral presentation of the 6th 5A Guiding Program of Jinan University was held on Dec. 19 in the International Conference Hall of the Zeng Xianzi Science Building. After fierce competition, 10 classes were awarded the title 5A Extraordinary Class, and 10 monitors were named Extraordinary Monitor of JNU. The competition was attended by Wu Guoji, former JNU party committee secretary; Vice President Rao Min, and over 400 faculty members and students.
In the competition, 18 advanced classes and 15 candidates for Extraordinary Monitor of JNU gave oral presentations. They stood out from over 500 classes and 1,000 monitors after rounds of evaluation by the colleges and the university.
The 2014 class in the College of Pharmacy's Successive Bachelor-Master-Doctor Program won first place. The class has been named a 5A Extraordinary Class for three consecutive years. Twelve students were recommended to postgraduate programs so they don't have to take the national postgraduate entrance examination; eight students jointly published five SCI papers and two CSSCI papers; and 37 hosted or took part in innovation and entrepreneurship projects for college students, Challenge Cup projects and Guangdong Climbing plan projects. The students won a total of 108 awards in various fields, averaging more than five per student.
