Shanghai - Zhenru (1923-1941)

In 1927, the National Jinan School was moved from Nanjing to Zhenru of Shanghai, a metropolitan and economic and cultural center of China at the time, in order to facilitate the expansion of overseas Chinese education. In September, National Jinan Business College was set up. In September, 1927, Natinal Jinan School was renamed as National Jinan University, which consisted of three sectors: university, middle school and Department of South Pacific Culture and Education. Mr. Zheng Hongnian took the post of president of the university. Then in the spring of 1931, the new board of trustees of National Jinan University was established, which included celebrities like Song Ziwen, Lin Sen, Kong Xiongxi etc. Chen Lifu, Sun Ke and Zheng Hongnian were the managing trustees. During the Shanghai ? Zhenru Period, there in univeristy were 5 colleges, which further divided into 16 departments and 2 professional programs. Many famous specialists were invited to teach in the university, such as Xu Chensheng, Yan Jici, Zhou Jianren, Zhou Gucheng, Xu Tunan, Yang Rumei, Pan Yulun, Chen Zhongfan, Xia Qizun, Ye Gongchao, Liang Shiqiu, Huang Binhong, Deng Chumin, Qian Yishi, Li Da, Hong Shen, Shen Congwen, Zhang Yaoxiang, Liao Shicheng, Luo Longji, Pan Guangdan, Cao Juren , Shen Duanxian (Xia Yan), Liu Tumu, Li Changbo, Wen Xiongfei, Zheng Zhenze, Guo Zhaoyu, Wang Tongzhao, Li Jianwu, Chen Gaoyong etc.
