Nanjing (1906-1923)
Jinan University was built in an epoch of difficulties and reverse when China gradually declined to a semicolonial and semifeudal society after the opium War occurred in the mid-nineteenth century. Shanghai- Zhenru (1923-1941)

Fujian -Jianyang (1941-1946))
As a result of the volatile environment, Jinan University set a branch in Tongyou town, Jianyang city of Hujian province in 1941 to prepare for the relocation. After the Pacific War broke out, the whole school moved to Jianyanng from Shanghai in June, 1942. Therefore, the branch in Jianyang became our university's base. More... £©
Shanghai (post-anti-Japanese War1946-1949)
